Gulf States to spend $65 billion on defense in 2011
The specialist defense market intelligence firm, “Forecast International”, projects that in 2010 the GCC states (Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman & Bahrain) will invest $63 billion in defense and security spending and that this figure will increase in 2011 to $65 billion. To confirm these estimates, the offset specialist, Blenheim Capital Partners, estimates that the GCC states will spend in excess of $105 billion in the next two years.
